Obamamania43_2 The latest marketing idea for Barack Obama's campaign...The mighty O symbol.   A gesture of solidarity, behind the One.

For a guy fighting for change....for a change, he sure has his minions coming up with tired, old stuff.  This symbol has been around since the 1960's, with a futuristic tie-in to the "peace, love, drugs, free sex" hippie generation (see Star Trek link below (via Instapundit)).  Maybe that tie-in fits them well.

I'm with Michelle Malkin's thoughts on "5 universal gestures and symbols for Obama supporters".  I doubt any of them will catch on.

Sign of Progress?  Sounds very retro to me.  Goes back to this old man's childhood days.

My idea would be to respond back with a one handed gesture.  Two fingers in a V....not for peace only, but for peace thru victory.  The very thing Barack wishes to flee from in Iraq.
