Marines - 230 and counting!

Happy Birthday, United States Marine Corp!  Siemper Fi.

Working with a Marine over the past few years, I have grown to understand better the honor and courage shown by the few and the proud.

Also, hearing of the November 10th birthday had me wondering about history.  Out of curiousity, I had to look up the following birthdays:

United States Army: June 14th, 1775
United States Navy: October 13th, 1775
United States Marine Corp: November 10th, 1775
United States Coast Guard: August 4th, 1790
United States Air Force: September 18, 1947

Thanks to all of you for a job well done.  Today, though, it's your day, Marine.  Thanks to each of the 172,000 active duty and 40,000 reserve Marines.  May you celebrate well.
