Miscellaneous Katrina Issues

So much stuff has come out in the open since Katrina, it's almost too much to take in.  Some tidbits of information:

Consider that 2 of the left's most hated groups have come to the rescue in New Orleans.  One is the religious: church relief organizations.  Salvation Army, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Catholic Charities, the list goes on and on with groups like these.  And we can't forget the military, the folks the left hate as bad.  Soon after the storm hit, pictures were flashed up of Coast Guard helicopters rescuing folks off of roofs.  Later, it's the National Guard patrolling streets.  Both sets of groups were there to rescue folks regardless of their political or religious affiliations.

Then we have Arthur Jones, Louisiana's chief of disaster recovery, who has time from his job to go to a conference in New York.  Doesn't he still have a job to do down south somewhere?  Or, has the federal government taken this job over?

Finally, we have a Louisiana Congressman, William Jefferson, who used several soldiers, a helicopter, and at least two huge trucks, to retrieve his belongings from his home.  Gee, I wonder if those who he represents got the same offer?
